Have you ever spent time wondering what you could make with the paperclips on your desk, or the old clothes that don’t fit you anymore or never did, or the hundreds of eyeglass containers you bought at Scrap? misUSe is an exhibition featuring work inspired by materials not traditionally found in an artistic setting, like, for example, the work of Brian Jungen. What does it mean to transform or repurpose a material for artistic expression? How do form and function play a part in the visual role of unexpected artistic fodder? Can you find beauty in the mundane and commonplace? The show will run from March 21st to march 26th.
