Curated by Claire Daigle, Director of MA Studies at SFAI, in partnership with MA students, Candace Cui and Sheeka Arbuthnot, this show offers a cross-cultural, interdisciplinary examination of color in the work of over 25 artists working in a variety of media. 

Key areas of inquiry include: Where does the balance of engagement with color fall between the purely subjective and the culturally constructed? What values and objectives (cultural, political, and emotional) have been placed on color and how do these investments shift with cultural context? We tend to think of color as primarily experiential; to what degree of specificity can we begin to verbalize and express our experiences?
